I think that the big idea behind this blog will be to make remarks on an occasional basis about manifestations of secular fundamentalism as I come across them.
It might also be worth making my own perspective clear from the outset. I'm a "small 'o'" orthodox, Western Christian who believes passionately that a true faith is one that's willing to look honestly at all genuine objections to its positions - I'm genuinely interested in real dialogue with people who find themselves unable to agree with religious commitment in general and Christianity in particular. I also believe that it's frequently possible to find genuine common ground between people of good will who may radically differ in their views of religious faith.
